We were responsible for the package design for Miyoshi Sake's new variety, Miyoshi BLUE. As stated before, koji, rice, and water, as well as seller, buyer, and the world, are all indispensable to sake. The name "Miyoshi" was chosen as a request for harmony between these two groups of three, both of which are important to sake brewing. As such, the kanji for the number three was placed upon the label. In reality, it's actually three of the kanji for the number one lined up. Each process is important, so one must do them carefully, one by one. It's a concept that is fully aware of this type of process. Furthermore, just as it's newly described by blue's "Kaoreru, Soi, Kaikukeru," the fragrance rises. By all means, I wanted to eloquently convey the true power of Miyoshi Blue, which won the silver award in the junmai division of SAKE COMPETITION 2019, through my design. I am updating the designs for the 180ml and 720ml bottles.
