MDN DESIGNERS FILE 2020

MdN Corporation, a corporation which handles media projects in the field of design at Impress Group,
launched the ‘MdN Designers’ File 2020′ project.
It is the latest 2020 edition of a creative directory which lists graphic designers, art directors, etc.
all in one place.

2019 issue No.89 is a special issue on the thought processes and expressions of design, with OUWN’s PARCO Valentine’s Day ad design featured.

NEW YEAR'S CARDS FROM 100CREATORS VOL.15

It has become a customary plan of the New Year.
Mihoncho Honten is holding volume 15 of the exhibition, “New Year’s Cards from 100 creators,” from
January 28th (Tuesday) to February 28th (Friday), 2020.

The exhibition is being held in three locations throughout the country: in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka.
At these locations, you can enjoy the creators’ New Year’s messages, which will be laid out on paper and designs.

On display at the Tokyo venue will be New Year’s cards that were designed by OUWN Ishiguro.
Because everyone is familiar with New Year’s cards, we think that this is an exhibition that can be fully enjoyed by everyone: by people who are interested in design and printing, of course, but also by ordinary persons.
We definitely want you to come and enjoy the exhibition.

Ishiguro of OUWN recently discussed some things of interest
in the creator survey in the November issue,
VOL.712 of advertising/creative magazine “BRAIN.”
The title is “OKOICHA NI KOI SHITA(I fell in love with koicha)”

LECTURED IN DESIGNPLEX

In one of the special classes of the Tokyo Designplex Institute located in Shibuya, Mr. Ishiguro from OUWN gave a lecture.

It became a unique lecture with an interesting twist to it,
beginning with the title “The connecting meals that restaurant OUWN produces,” its content being strongly influenced by Mr. Ishiguro’s personal experience as he often gets his inspiration from cooking and food.

In the workshop,
he let the participants share the experience of finding out how to expand their ideas by exchanging them and by combining everyday techniques with some special methods.

We want to thank the many students that participated for their willing attendance.

DESIGN AWARD RESULTS '19

At the ONE SHOW 2019, a global award ceremony held in New York,
MATURITY, designed by our company, received a Merit in two divisions,
the art direction division and poster design division.
At OUWN, we strive to regularly submit to design awards and so on to increase motivation, expand perspectives, and improve quality.
We will take the opportunity to report on the other prizewinners
in the first half of the year.
We will strive to design better quality products and have fun while doing so
in the second half of the year.

Ishiguro of OUWN is featured in the magazine Design Note’s special report called “The Graphic Design” (2019, No. 84).
Design Note is a magazine which allows one to grasp the reality of design work.

Kashiwa Sato of SAMURAI, Masayoshi Kodaira of FLAME,
Ryosuke Uehara of Kigi, Yuni Yoshida,
and other art directors who must not go unnoticed when speaking of contemporary graphic design are also featured in the special report.

Because this is a special report on graphic design,
this publication in particular is of great interest and is a meaningful opportunity for us.

OUWN was founded as a corporation in 2013 by Atsushi Ishiguro and Munechika Fujita. The name stems from our hope to foster interaction, dialogue, and feelings between our owns and yours ( "own" + "u" ) through designing.
In addition to art direction, OUWN’s activities extend into many different fields such as graphics, web, fashion, visual, logo, and other types of design.
