K-Design Award is an international design contest sponsored
by the Korean design portal, “DESIGNSORI”.
It is regarded as one of the most innovative contests in the world,
as it confers three of Asia’s major design awards.

Besides giving the Grand Prize,
which goes to the only winner of the contest,
the international judging committee gives the Gold Prize to the entries with the best design.
the Gold Prize is conferred to only one percent of the entire entrants.
At the K-Design Award 2017, OUWN’s Japanese sake “Miyoshi” received this very prize.
The award ceremony will be held at the Auditorium Coex in Seoul on August 26.
Since Korea seems to be a country that is serious
about designing (it is also where the splendid design book, “graphicmag” is based in),
we would like to take this opportunity to further establish ourselves.

“Designer’s Idea Strategy – Real Examples of Design Sketches which Produce Ideas.”

considered by some the most influential graphic design magazine,
being published in Germany since 1924, has published an article about OUWN.

The Valentine’s Day logo mark of MITSUKOSHI Isetan,
which OUWN produced for SYMBOLS IN GRAPHIC DESIGN,
appears in SendPoints, published in China.
We are very grateful for the acknowledgment from other side of the ocean.
MdN Corporation, a corporation which handles media projects in the field of design at Impress Group,
launched the ‘MdN Designers’ File 2017′ project.
It is the latest 2017 edition of a creative directory which lists graphic designers, art directors, etc.
all in one place.

At the Tokyo TDC Annual Awards 2017,
the Japanese Sake Miyoshi designed by OUWN was selected for awards in 3 categories in the packaging, logo,
and advertisement departments.

We want to thank all the people involved for the effort they put in this project.
We have started our “Dot Trip” web content on the OUWN site.
Dot Trip will introduce wonderful creators that are known to OUWN.
But these creators do not fit within the frame of “design.”
There are lots of deeply creative people involved with OUWN’s work.
This is a page born out out of the desire to share creators’ inquisitive nature and politeness, no matter who you choose.
We believe that if you and each of the individuals we introduce were single points,
then those lines connecting you will increase and take on a variety of new forms.
DOT TRIP >>
From Jan. 7 to Jan. 28, 2017, OUWN will be holding an exhibition entitled “Circulation.”
The venue will be the Starbucks Coffee Neighborhood Store in Hatsudai 1-chome. Hosted in the unconventional venue of Starbucks, this exhibition will allow even those who rarely come in contact with design and art to experience artwork freely and to spend a pleasant time together with others.
Given that idea,
it was decided that we would accept this wonderful proposal, take the plunge, and hold this exhibition.
We hope you enjoy the link between the peace and calm of the Starbucks dining space and OUWN’s exhibition, “Circulation.”
