Hotel MIYAM Matubarako
A hometown hotel, where you surrender to the forest and lake, and savor the seasons.
At 1,123 meters above sea level, Hotel MIYAM rests quietly on the shore of Lake Matsubara.
Here, you are free to do nothing—simply gaze at the water, listen to the wind moving through the forest, and let time flow.
We directed the hotel’s overall creative design, from naming and logo development to signage and in-house goods.
With “silence” and “space” as the core concepts, the design invites guests to return to their own sense of origin.
The adjoining Restaurant OTO offers moments to enjoy the blessings of the forest and lake, completing an experience where architecture, space, food, and graphics come together as one.
